Magenta Swatches

PR202 I think tends to have a bit more richness and depth compared to PR122, however not quit as saturated. The PR122 I got to make my own is a lot closer to PR202 in color but is cooler then all other Quinacridone Magentas I have tried.
Daniel Smith-Quinacridone Magenta, Mijello-Quinacridone Crimson Lake PR202, Handmade-PR122, Winsor+Newton-Purple Madder (Alizarin) PR83+PV23? (Discontinued)

If you are wanting a PR122, you really can't go wrong, they are fairly similar and not really a whole lot of variation. Just find a brand you like and their PR122 should be just fine.
SoHo-Rose PR81 (Discontinued), Qor-Quinacridone Magenta PR122, Lukas Studio-Magenta PR122, Turner-Quinacridone Magenta PR122, Winsor+Newton-Quinacridone Magenta PR122

If you are wanting a very bright Opera Mijello mission gold is the one you want to get. I've not tried more then the 2, but from what I've seen it's the brightest you can find.
Mijello-Bright Opera BV10+PR122, Daniel Smith-Opera Pink PR122+Flouresence

I personally really don't like the Daniel Smith Rose madder genuine. It's very dull when you compare it to Winsor+Newton. It is however discontinued so if you're a collector you may still want it, but if not just go with Winsor+Newton or one of the many PV19 alternatives. Rhodonite Genuine is also pretty close to Winsor+Newton and even has some of the fine textures NR9 has.

PV42 is a very good middle ground between PV19 and PR122/PR202
Daniel Smith-Quinacridone Pink PV42, Schmincke-Magenta PV42

Winsor+Newton's Permanent Rose almost has a glow to it that the others don't have. However my tube is vintage (maybe 80s-90s) so unsure if the current French made one looks the same.
Daniel Smith-Quinacridone Red PV19, Daniel Smith-Quinacridone Rose PV19, Davinci-Red Rose Deep PV19, M Graham-Quinacridone Rose PV19, Wisnor+Newton-Permanent Rose PV19

If you're wanting a PV19 but can't afford artist grade I wouldn't go with cotman. It has a decent amount of filler and when mixed it becomes very obvious. Go for a White Night's or Davici if you can.
